Day 21 seems to have disappeared, I will see if I can find it.
The SW coastal footpath was very linear, crossing the Somerset Levels was 2- dimensional, the Wye Valley Walk from Chepstow to Tintagel was a spectacular 3-dimensional walk. From viewpoints such as “The Eagle’s Nest” I could see the meanders of the river and the depth of the valley that had been cut. And most of the walk was in delightful deciduous woodland.

Tintagelwas a lovely spot to stop for a pot of tea for two and a chance to try some scrumpy. I had made very good time and so spent an hour there resting

More deciduous woodland a confusing detour due to footpath repairs and then a long slog along the riverside to Monmouth to arrive at 6.30.
I saw an area of hazel woodland was just being returned to a 15 y coppice cycle to provide fuel for heating.

I was squeezed in at the campsite but Caroline and Sid from the nearest mobile home made me very welcome with a can of Guiness and then a second a little later “to build me up”. In the morning they gave me coffee. They were really very nice.
I am enjoying this read every morning takes me back to an other life when I lived in that part of the world on the Chepstow road and the walks on the Severn beach with Jason the dog, seems like a hundred years ago now Marie.

Rae snow + wind = blizzard yesterday but only for sn hour or so while on hilltops. Fatigue has slowed my writing but made up for it last night.
I think just grey cloud and drizzle today.
